HORSCH, a leading global manufacturer of agricultural equipment, joins Maschinenraum. The innovation ecosystem offers more than 20 family businesses and SMEs a collaborative environment in which to tackle challenges in the context of digital transformation. HORSCH wants to reorient itself primarily in the areas of employee recruitment and employer branding.
Millions of hectares of farmland worldwide are cultivated, tilled and protected year after year with HORSCH solutions and machines. One of the reasons for HORSCH's entrepreneurial success is its constant exchange with customers. "Through on-site discussions in the field, we learn how our machines prove themselves in use and what is particularly important to farmers. We also live this principle internally, involving our employees in all important decision-making and development processes," says Michael Horsch, founder of HORSCH and a farmer.
Involvement in the innovation ecosystem opens up new perspectives
In order to additionally benefit from the exchange of experience with other family-run or medium-sized companies and to provide impetus itself, HORSCH is becoming part of Maschinenraum. Initiated in 2020, the innovation ecosystem offers member companies the ideal environment to work together on modern challenges.
"The demands on individual companies are becoming increasingly complex these days. Particularly when it comes to issues such as employer branding and recruiting, it is worthwhile to exchange ideas with others, even across different industries. From our involvement in Maschinenraum, we expect to gain new perspectives on our network organization, find young talent and learn more about the changes brought about by the New Work movement," says Steffen Besserer, Manager Corporate Culture at HORSCH.
"Maschinenraum is designed precisely for companies like HORSCH: this is where medium-sized companies work together on their future viability in a protected ecosystem. HORSCH is very successful and stands for modern solutions - but doesn't want to rest on its laurels. Instead, the company actively drives cultural change and seeks exchange. In this way, HORSCH is on the right track, because cooperation is the order of the day for German SMEs," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
Maschinenraum, a shared innovation ecosystem from SMEs for SMEs, unites German SMEs and family businesses to boldly shape the future. Already more than 22 family businesses - including Viessmann, Fiege Logistik, Dussmann Service and Paracelsus Kliniken - have joined Maschinenraum to jointly drive the digital transformation of SMEs.
HORSCH is one of the world's leading manufacturers of innovative agricultural technology and modern solutions for tillage, seeding and crop protection. Every single customer with his individual requirements is the focus of our actions.
