Dussmann Service Germany becomes a member of Maschinenraum
Dussmann Service Germany, the largest business division of the family-owned Dussmann Group, becomes a member of Maschinenraum, the platform from medium-sized companies for medium-sized companies. Together with Maschinenraum, the facility management provider will continue to consistently drive forward its digitalization, particularly in the Corona pandemic. The focus will be on challenges such as the development of new digital business models or initiatives to combat the shortage of skilled workers.
In the current corona pandemic, Dussmann Service is continuing to invest in digitalization and is also relying on cooperations and alliances such as Maschinenraum to drive its digital strategy forward together with strong partners. Joining the innovation ecosystem founded in 2019 thus fits seamlessly into the Dussmann Next Level corporate strategy. The aim of this strategy is to consistently expand the use of smart digital tools and new business models and, in the medium term, to create a significant proportion of value digitally.
Dussmann Service already uses room sensors, for example, which show the cleaning teams how often a room has been used and whether it needs to be cleaned. Drones are also used in the area of building services and outdoor facilities. In its catering business, Dussmann Service uses digital technology in the interests of climate neutrality by displaying the CO2 figures for meals to guests in an app.
"We want to be pioneers in digitalization in facility management," says Philipp Conrads, CEO of Dussmann Service Germany. "Whether in IoT projects, digital platforms or automation and robotics solutions such as autonomous cleaning robots. A long-term cooperation with Maschinenraum opens up new options for us in this regard. We look forward to exchanging ideas with like-minded people.”
"Dussmann is a perfect fit for Maschinenraum - as a family-owned company, it combines stability with innovative spirit and entrepreneurship. We are very pleased that Dussmann Service has joined Maschinenraum. Together we are pursuing our vision: we want to create the next generation of innovative family businesses," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
