DEHN becomes part of the Maschinenraum innovation ecosystem
Ahrensburg / Berlin
DEHN, a globally valued specialist supplier of lightning protection, surge protection and occupational safety, is joining the alliance of medium-sized companies in Maschinenraum. The family-owned company from Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate wants to ensure that the 112-year company history is successfully continued with further chapters through the open as well as trusting exchange with other companies, mostly from outside the industry. Impulses from Maschinenraum, for example, are intended to further advance international organizational development and to inspire the handling of strong growth and expansion into new markets.
Mastering transformation together
In more than 70 countries around the world, DEHN products and solutions ensure that systems and installations function safely, for example in electrical distribution boards. Customers from a wide range of sectors rely on DEHN's quality and expertise: whether in photovoltaic systems, mobile phone masts, wind turbines, or production facilities - wherever electrical components are installed or sensitive infrastructure needs to be protected, the DEHN logo is likely to be found. This is also the case on the Maschinenraum building in Berlin. There, the lightning protection ensures the safety of the representatives of more than 50 member companies, innovators and university partners working here.
So, in a way, it was only a matter of time before DEHN also found its way into Maschinenraum. The decisive factor, however, was above all the prospect of new impetus to meet the challenges of today with the appropriate solutions. Standing under the influence of digitalization and the shortage of skilled workers, DEHN wants to take advantage of the momentum in the electrical industry - driven by the trends towards renewable energy and e-mobility - and expand into new markets.
"With heart and expertise, passion and pioneering spirit, we have been significantly driving developments in surge, lightning and industrial protection for decades. We want to do this to an even greater extent in the future, for example by evolving from a component to a service provider and increasingly complementing hardware with software solutions. We are convinced that Maschinenraum, as an innovation ecosystem, can bring immensely valuable multiplier effects. For us, membership is also tantamount to a collective organizational development measure, because we want to enable as many employees as possible to exchange ideas with their colleagues in the other member companies," says Dr. Philipp Dehn, CEO of DEHN SE.
"It is something special when a traditional family-owned company like DEHN joins Maschinenraum. This is because this step testifies to the progressive awareness that a successful company history in today's complex world is best secured and perpetuated through cooperation with like-minded people. The products of the family-owned company enjoy the highest level of trust and ensure the operation of electrical systems even in complex scenarios. This also gives rise to the claim to reinvent safely time and again. DEHN's innovative spirit is impressive and certainly inspires other companies in our circle," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
