Eva Mettenmeier becomes part of the Maschinenraum management team
Berlin
Eva Mettenmeier, previously Director at Maschinenraum, will become part of the Executive Board on July 1, 2022. As Managing Director, she will be responsible for organizing the exchange formats and member network of the shared innovation ecosystem.
Maschinenraum is a shared innovation ecosystem from Mittelstand for Mittelstand. Initiated in early 2020 by climate solutions provider Viessmann, Maschinenraum now networks nearly 60 family-owned businesses, including companies such as SSI Schäfer, STIHL, MANN+HUMMEL, uvex, edding and Mast-Jägermeister. The more than 20 employees of Maschinenraum curate and orchestrate the digital and personal exchange between the member companies on their challenges, best practices and experiences on a daily basis. In this way, the companies help each other to drive the digitization, sustainability and modernization of their organizations and collectively shape the transformation from hidden champions to open champions.
"With Maschinenraum, we have created a unique network of exchange for family-run businesses. Our team works every day to shape a trusting environment where experiences can be shared and challenges can be tackled together. In my new role, I will continue the close cooperation with the members, develop Maschinenraum strategically and in terms of content together with co-managing directors Tobias Rappers and Dr. Markus Pfuhl, and attract many more family businesses to the ecosystem - because the future of Mittelstand needs an authentic as well as lively exchange," says Eva Mettenmeier.
For Tobias Rappers, one thing is certain: "Eva Mettenmeier has been part of the team since day one - and since then she has played a significant role in shaping what Maschinenraum stands for today. Through her area of responsibility, she is as close as possible to the entrepreneurial reality of our members - including all the opportunities and challenges. At the same time, she stands for 'connecting the dots' like no one else, because she brings together precisely those people and companies on appropriate topics who can learn the most from each other - trustingly and at eye level. This is true peer-to-peer learning, one of the basic principles of Maschinenraum!"
Previously, Eva Mettenmeier built up the startup accelerator program at the Founder Foundation in Bielefeld and worked in her own family business as well as at the management consultancy Roland Berger.
