Family business Bauck GmbH and the Maschinenraum ecosystem enter into strategic cooperation
Rosche / Berlin, 08.02.2024 - Bauck GmbH, a traditional family business from the district of Uelzen that produces biodynamic food, is joining the innovation ecosystem Maschinenraum. The cooperation marks a significant step in the further development of the company and the promotion of sustainable innovations in the food industry.
As early as 1932, Eduard Bauck became one of the first farmers to convert his farm to biodynamic farming methods. In 1969, he joined forces with other biodynamic farmers to improve the marketing of his own products. This developed into today's Bauck GmbH. Today, the company is managed in the third generation by Jan-Peter Bauck and, since 2024, by his designated successor Friedemann Wecker, employs 240 people and achieved a turnover of 70 million euros in 2023. Bauck GmbH has one of the most modern mills in Europe at its Rosche site. With innovative and, above all, delicious products, the company aims to convince as wide an audience as possible of the benefits of organic and demeter products.
Under the Bauck Mühle brand, Bauck GmbH markets the production of food and milled products such as muesli, baking mixes for breads, cakes and tarts as well as dry mixes for vegan dishes such as burgers and falafel. All products are at least organic, mostly Demeter-certified, because Bauck pursues the vision of working with consumers to make the world a little better every day. Organic. Out of love for the future.
The organic sector is currently facing challenges, particularly as a result of changes in consumer behavior caused by past and current crises. The company aims to make sustainable food accessible to a wide audience through various partnerships, such as with 1. FC Nuremberg or through the presence of its own food truck at festivals such as Rock am Ring.
Bauck GmbH is looking forward to implementing innovative projects and developing sustainable solutions and approaches to the challenges facing the industry together with Maschinenraum and other like-minded people.
"What excites us most about the Maschinenraum platform is the opportunity to exchange experiences at all levels and benefit from each other. We live this cooperative idea in the company and look forward to being able to contribute it beyond that," says Friedemann Wecker, Managing Director.
Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum, expresses his enthusiasm for the collaboration with Bauck with the words: "We are delighted to welcome Bauck to the Maschinenraum network. Bauck GmbH brings an impressive family tradition and a strong commitment to sustainability. We are convinced that the values of Bauck and the goals of Maschinenraum are a good fit."
About Maschinenraum:

About Bauck:
Bauck GmbH emerged in 1969 as one of the pioneers among natural food manufacturers from the three biodynamic Bauck farms in Klein Süstedt, Stütensen and Amelinghausen. Originally founded as a marketing company for Demeter products, the company now produces Demeter and organic products such as flours, mueslis and baking mixes in its own mills under the "Bauck Mühle" brand. The company is still family- and employee-run. Bauck GmbH has a long-term and fair partnership with the farmers in the region. Contracts for the next harvest and the one after that are already signed in winter. In this way, the company aims to counteract price speculation with Demeter grain and make a contribution to maintaining and promoting biodynamic agriculture.
