HÖRMANN Group becomes part of the innovations ecosystem
Kirchseeon, Bavaria / Berlin
The HÖRMANN Group, an internationally renowned technology company with four business divisions - Automotive, Engineering, Services and Communication - will become part of Maschinenraum. The alliance of more than 40 medium-sized companies as well as university partners and other innovators is working together on the digital transformation of German Mittelstand. The HÖRMANN Group wants to use the exchange with other members of Maschinenraum to share ideas on how to deal with challenges in innovation management and cultural change, among other things.
The HÖRMANN Group, a family-owned company with more than 65 years of history, has grown to 27 affiliated companies and around 2,800 employees within its four business divisions. About the business divisions: HÖRMANN Automotive is a leading system supplier primarily to the commercial vehicle industry, but also to the construction and agricultural machinery industries. HÖRMANN Engineering is an expert in industrial design, vehicle development, plant, building and factory planning, and the provision of complex logistics systems. HÖRMANN Services takes care of the conception and commissioning of machines and plants up to their relocation or modernization and maintenance of existing production facilities. HÖRMANN Communication is a provider of system-relevant communication, information and safety systems.
Fit for the future through continuous change
"Standstill is regression - that's why we are constantly reinventing ourselves. In order to meet the digital challenges of tomorrow across all groups, our corporate startup HÖRMANN Digital was founded in 2019. Here, we focus on bundled digital expertise to develop products, services and business models of the future. However, we also want to open up to these topics outside the Group - which is precisely why we have also joined Maschinenraum. We are very much looking forward to networking and exchanging ideas at eye level," Alexander Hauswald, Managing Director of HÖRMANN Digital.
"The common intersection of challenges in family businesses is enormous, plus they bring the same mindset. In this way, transformation through cooperation succeeds particularly well - the HÖRMANN Group will certainly benefit from this as well," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
