NETZSCH Group joins the Maschinenraum ecosystem
Selb / Berlin
NETZSCH Group, a globally renowned machine and instrument manufacturer, becomes part of Maschinenraum. An alliance of more than 50 Mittelstand companies as well as university partners and other innovators are working together on the digital transformation of Germany's Mittelstand. The NETZSCH Group wants to use the exchange with other members of Maschinenraum to share ideas about the current and future challenges surrounding digitalization – from innovation management to new business models.
The family-owned company NETZSCH was founded in 1873, and today the management responsibility for the group, which consists of three business units, is in the hands of the fifth generation.
With determination and deliberation into a digital future
"With the generation change a few years ago, the topic of digitalization has massively gained importance at NETZSCH; new times have dawned. In the course of this, the area of product innovation is also playing an increasingly important role – after all, we are committed to excellence towards our customers and have a correspondingly strong customer focus. Our digital unit NEDGEX was also born out of this endeavor," says Paul Netzsch, Managing Director of the NETZSCH Group.
"Successors like Paul and Moritz Netzsch face the challenge of finding the balance between the new – driving innovation as well as investing in new business areas – as well as the established core business. The future needs tradition, that much is certain. And I am sure that NETZSCH will succeed very well in this – also in the exchange with like-minded people in Maschinenraum," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
