The STOCKMEIER Group becomes the first new member of the Maschinenraum network in 2024
Bielefeld / Berlin, 11.01.2024 - Maschinenraum, the transformation ecosystem for family businesses, is starting 2024 with a significant expansion: the internationally operating chemical company STOCKMEIER Holding SE is joining the group of family businesses from a wide range of industries to jointly defy the challenges of the current economic landscape.
With over 26,000 products, 30,000 customers worldwide and more than 50 locations in 14 countries, the STOCKMEIER Group is one of the market leaders in Europe. Founded in 1920 in Bielefeld, the STOCKMEIER Group is managed by CEO Peter Stockmeier in the 3rd generation and offers distribution, production and services for numerous industries. In 2022, the company generated a turnover of 2.1 billion euros. Most recently, STOCKMEIER Holding GmbH changed its legal form to STOCKMEIER Holding SE (Societas Europaea). This step underscores the Group's increasing internationalization.
The company is facing a variety of challenges that accompany its dynamic growth. Topics such as sustainability, challenges in the supply chain, IT security, recruiting and measures in the area of change management are key concerns. As part of its membership of the Maschinenraum network, the STOCKMEIER Group sees an opportunity to network with other family-owned companies.
"We are delighted to now be part of Maschinenraum. The transformation challenges across all areas of the company, coupled with ever shorter innovation cycles and accelerating changes in the market, keep us all busy on a daily basis. As the STOCKMEIER Group, our aim is to learn from each other and share best practice for issues within the Group. We are therefore all the more grateful that this exchange can take place across our company boundaries, across industries and that we can join forces in the specialist areas." Oliver Rechtsprecher, Managing Director of the STOCKMEIER Group.
"We are delighted to welcome the Stockmeier Group to Maschinenraum. Their great willingness to drive change together and their long-term thinking fits perfectly with our vision of a networked and future-oriented ecosystem. "Together we will seize the opportunities of Industry 4.0," explains Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
