TRILUX joins Maschinenraum innovation ecosystem

Arnsberg / Berlin

Lighting expert TRILUX, the German market leader for professional lighting, will become part of Maschinenraum. The alliance of more than 50 SMEs as well as university partners and other innovators is working together on the digital transformation of German Mittelstand. TRILUX wants to use the exchange with other members of Maschinenraum to share ideas on how to deal with current and future challenges - including the topics of sustainability and product development.

TRILUX was founded in 1912 by engineer Wilhelm Lenze as a "manufactory for lighting components" in Menden, Sauerland. Driven by the ambition to create ever better light, founder Wilhelm Lenze focused on intensive research and development work from the very beginning. Today, TRILUX employs around 5,000 people worldwide. The values of the company still characterize Lenze today: a tireless spirit of research, a deeply rooted awareness of quality and a watchful eye for the needs of customers.

Then as now - progress as tradition

"The lighting market has been undergoing a transformation for a number of years now, and the new demands of our customers mean that the issues are naturally also changing for us - from Smart City and New Work to sustainability. However, we don't just want to keep an overview, but act with foresight and always think ahead. From now on, we want to focus more than ever on the cross-industry exchange with like-minded people and are very excited about the exchange with Maschinenraum members," says Hubertus Volmert, CEO and COO at TRILUX.

"We are very pleased to have another market leader on board with TRILUX - and that too coupled with more than 100 years of experience, from which other like-minded people in our innovation ecosystem will henceforth be able to learn. I am convinced that the connection to Maschinenraum will also bring the right impulses for TRILUX to successfully break new ground," says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
