uvex group becomes part of the Maschinenraum innovation ecosystem

uvex group, producer of innovative and high-quality products that protect and support people in sport, leisure and everyday work, is becoming part of Maschinenraum. The Maschinenraum alliance, consisting of around 40 Mittelstand companies as well as university partners and other innovators, is working together on the digital transformation of German SMEs. The uvex group wants to use the exchange with other members of Maschinenraum to share ideas on how to deal with challenges in sustainability, future technologies and digitalisation.

Founded in 1926 by Philipp M. Winter, the company has now grown into an international group of four companies: uvex safety group, uvex sports group (uvex sports and ALPINA), Protecting People GmbH and Filtral group (Filtral and Primetta). uvex group is represented by 49 branches in 22 countries and out of conviction produces mainly in Germany; 60 percent of the approximately 3,000 employees (as of FY 2020/21) are employed in Germany.
