Warema Group cooperates with other medium-sized companies in Maschinenraum

The Warema Group is a leading manufacturer of technical sun protection and, with its solutions and services, makes an important contribution to the atmosphere of well-being and people's quality of life. Now the family-owned company is also part of Maschinenraum. The alliance of more than 50 SMEs as well as university partners and other innovators is working together on the digital transformation of German Mittelstand. The Warema Group wants to use the dialog with other members of Maschinenraum to exchange ideas on how to deal with current and future challenges - for example, on the topics of innovation management and corporate culture.

The Warema Group was founded in 1955 in Marktheidenfeld in Lower Franconia by Hans-Wilhelm Renkhoff and Karl-Friedrich Wagner. What was then five employees and just one product - light metal venetian blinds - has now grown to around 5,200 employees and a wide range of products within the two divisions Sun & Living Spaces and Plastics & Engineering.

Innovation through cooperation

This is also one of the reasons why we founded the BE5 innovation and digitalization platform together with other partners - to promote closer cooperation between already progressive companies and the inclusion of start-ups. The Maschinenraum membership is the next sensible step for us to take the idea of cooperation to a new level," says Ralf Simon, Head of R&D and Head of Innovation at Warema.
